Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer I at Milliman, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing technical requirements into applications and services managed by EB Admin Technology. Your responsibilities will include full stack development using technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and ASP.Net, as well as mentoring and supporting software developers in adhering to coding standards. You will be expected to design and implement calculation libraries, troubleshoot and enhance existing applications, and maintain proper documentation of libraries and object structure. Additionally, you will assist in identifying and correcting system stability issues, sharing knowledge with the development team, and staying up to date with the latest technologies. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 5 years of experience working with modern UI technologies in a Microsoft stack, including SQL Server, XML, Visual Studio, and Azure DevOps. Proficiency in object-oriented programming, C#, ASP.NET, .NET, and .NET Core Framework Class Libraries is essential. Experience in multi-tiered web-based applications and services in an agile SDLC environment is required. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong logical and analytical thinking, and the ability to develop clean, scalable, and high-performance code. A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, along with 5+ years of software development experience, is necessary for this role. Additionally, a willingness to learn Microsoft Blazor and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive client data is preferred.
