Senior Logistics Executive

Role & responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Executive Logistics to oversee and coordinate our logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient transportation, distribution, and storage of goods, optimizing supply chain processes, and maintaining strong vendor relationships to support the companys growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Logistics Operations Management:

  Plan, implement, and monitor logistics strategies to ensure timely delivery of goods while minimizing costs.

• Transportation Coordination:

  Oversee freight forwarding, shipping, and transportation activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Inventory Management:

  Collaborate with warehousing teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and oversee stock movements.

• Vendor & Supplier Management:

  Establish and maintain relationships with carriers, suppliers, and logistics service providers to negotiate rates and service levels.

• Warehouse Oversight:

  Supervise warehouse operations to ensure safety, accuracy, and efficiency in storage and handling.

• Compliance & Documentation:

  Ensure adherence to legal, safety, and environmental standards, including customs, import/export regulations, and documentation.

• Cost Optimization:

  Analyze logistics costs and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.

• Team Leadership:

  Lead, train, and develop logistics staff to enhance team performance and operational efficiency.

• Reporting & Analysis:

  Prepare reports on logistics KPIs, costs, and operational performance for senior management.

• Technology Utilization:

  Leverage logistics management systems and technology to streamline operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
• Proven experience (4+ years) in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in a senior role.
• Strong understanding of transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency with logistics management software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Knowledge of relevant legal and safety regulations.
