We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Histopathology Technician with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our medical laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in histopathology techniques and a strong commitment to quality and precision in preparing and analyzing tissue samples. As a Histopathology Technician, you will play a crucial role in the preparation of tissue samples for microscopic examination, assisting pathologists in diagnosing and treating patients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Associate s degree in Histotechnology, Medical Laboratory Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Histopathology Technician or in a similar role in a clinical or research laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Sample Preparation: Prepare and process tissue samples for microscopic examination, including fixation, embedding, sectioning, and staining of tissues.
• Quality Control: Perform routine quality control checks on histology slides and ensure accuracy and consistency in staining techniques.
• Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microtomes, tissue processors, and staining machines. Ensure all equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of specimen processing, including detailed documentation of staining protocols, quality control results, and any issues encountered.
• Collaboration: Work closely with pathologists, laboratory technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate diagnosis of tissue samples.
• Compliance: Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and maintain a sterile and organized work environment. Follow established procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues related to histology techniques, equipment malfunctions, or staining problems.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with advancements in histopathology techniques and technologies. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities as required.

Skill Required

• Proficiency in histopathology techniques, including tissue fixation, embedding, microtomy, and staining.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and its maintenance.
