Responsible for the organization of total patient management under his care in a safe, compassionate and ethical manner and in compliance with Medical Ethics and Professional Conduct for Doctors. Provide consultation to other sections within the department, and other departments within the hospital maintaining high level of patient care. Liaise with Departmental and Hospitals committee to ensure provision of comprehensive in-patient and post-discharge medical care for the patients. Provide medical reports, referral letters, and other documents to the patients, colleagues, hospital and other stakeholders whenever necessary. Delegate duties to and supervise the activities of junior colleagues to ensure provision of continuous medical care to the patients. Maintain medical records in EMR and ensure maintenance of records of medical care provided by junior colleagues. Organize inter-departmental clinical meetings, as may be necessary for comprehensive patient management. Initiate, participate and present the results of clinical audit within the area of work, and specialization. Adhere to the identified quality indicators for the dept., Bylaws, TAT and protocols for patient care Increase complex case conversions Adhere to prescribed infection control standards
