Job Description

Role & Responsibilities: PRT / TGT / PGT English

1. Teaching & Classroom Management

  • Deliver engaging and age-appropriate English lessons aligned with CBSE/NEP curriculum.
  • Foster reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills through structured lesson plans.
  • Incorporate grammar, literature, and creative writing effectively in teaching modules.
  • Use innovative and technology-integrated teaching methods to enhance language learning.

2. Assessment & Evaluation

  • Regularly assess student progress through written work, projects, oral assessments, and tests.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of student achievement.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents.

3. Academic Planning & Development

  • Develop yearly and monthly lesson plans and teaching aids.
  • Participate in curriculum planning and academic improvement strategies.
  • Organize and support co-curricular activities like debates, elocution, drama, and literature clubs.

4. Student Mentoring

  • Identify individual student needs and provide guidance and support.
  • Encourage a love for reading and language learning in students.
  • Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment in the classroom.

5. Communication & Coordination

  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance and development.
  • Coordinate with subject peers and the academic coordinator for consistent learning outcomes.
  • Attend staff meetings, workshops, and training sessions.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

For PRT English

  • Graduate in English with B.Ed. (mandatory)
  • CTET qualified preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the primary level.
  • Strong command over English language and phonetics.

For TGT English

  • Bachelors degree in English with B.Ed. (mandatory)
  • CTET qualified.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in middle school.
  • Proficient in literature and grammar teaching.

For PGT English

  • Master’s degree in English with B.Ed. (mandatory)
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in teaching Senior Secondary classes.
  • Ability to teach both Core English and Elective English (if required).
  • Experience in preparing students for board exams with excellent track record.
