Automation Test Engineer

Experience: 2 to 5 years

Job Summary:

Automation Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using
Selenium WebDriver
and
Java
.
Collaborate with developers and QA team to understand application features and architecture.
Participate in the design and development of test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
Execute automated test scripts and analyze results to identify defects.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Debug and troubleshoot test failures, identify root causes, and log defects in defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
Maintain test documentation and contribute to test metrics reporting.
Ensure adherence to QA standards and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

2 to 5 years
of hands-on experience in automation testing.
Strong programming skills in
Java
.
Expertise in
Selenium WebDriver
, TestNG or JUnit.
Experience with
Page Object Model (POM)
and other automation design patterns.
Familiarity with version control tools like
Git
.
Experience with build and CI tools such as
Maven
,
Jenkins
, or similar.
Basic knowledge of
REST API testing
(e.g., using Postman, RestAssured) is a plus.
Good understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
