Zonal Sales Manager – Education Franchise (K–12 & Pre-School)

As we continue our ambitious growth trajectory, we are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Zonal Sales Manager to lead and expand our franchise network within a designated geographical zone.
Position Overview
The Zonal Sales Manager will be a critical leader responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy for their assigned zone, ensuring the achievement of aggressive franchise acquisition targets for both K–12 and Pre-School segments. This role involves leading, mentoring, and motivating a team of Business Development Managers, analyzing market dynamics, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive sustained growth and market penetration.
Key Responsibilities
As a Zonal Sales Manager, you will:
- Strategic Sales Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement comprehensive zonal sales strategies and annual business plans aligned with the company's overall franchise expansion goals for K–12 and Pre-School.
- Set ambitious but achievable sales targets for the zone and individual team members (Business Development Managers).
- Identify high-potential regions and cities within the zone for targeted franchise development, based on demographic, economic, and educational market analysis.
- Team Leadership & Performance Management:
- Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of Business Development Managers.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and implement coaching programs to enhance individual and team capabilities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the zonal sales team.
- Ensure the sales team consistently adheres to Brain Discovery Global School's sales processes, quality standards, and brand guidelines.
- Franchise Acquisition & Revenue Growth:
- Drive the overall franchise acquisition efforts within the zone, ensuring targets are met and exceeded for both K–12 and Pre-School models.
- Oversee the end-to-end B2B sales cycle for key accounts and complex deals, providing strategic guidance and support to the team.
- Monitor and analyze sales pipeline, conversion rates, and revenue generation, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Responsible for achieving revenue targets derived from franchise fees and related income within the zone.
- Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis:
- Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes within the education franchise sector across the zone.
- Gather and provide critical market insights to senior leadership, informing strategic decisions related to product development, marketing, and expansion.
- Identify new business opportunities and potential partnerships to expand Brain Discovery Global School's reach.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key potential franchisees, educational groups, consultants, and industry influencers within the zone.
- Represent Brain Discovery Global School at industry events, educational expos, and seminars to enhance brand visibility and generate high-quality leads.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Academics, Operations, and Legal to ensure seamless onboarding and operational support for new school franchisees.
- Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare and present accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasts, performance reports, and budget utilization for the zone.
- Ensure all sales activities and franchise agreements comply with legal and regulatory requirements applicable to the education sector.
- Maintain robust CRM records for all sales activities, leads, and partner interactions within the zone.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: 8-12 years of progressive experience in B2B sales/business development, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a Zonal, Regional, or Senior Sales Management role specifically within the K–12 or Pre-School education sector (franchise development is highly preferred).
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or a related field. MBA is a strong advantage.
- Industry Expertise:
- Mandatory in-depth knowledge of the Indian K–12 and Pre-School education landscape, including an understanding of curriculum frameworks, regulatory bodies (e.g., CBSE, ICSE, State Boards), and infrastructure requirements for educational institutions.
- Proven experience in franchise model sales and development is essential.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities within the education franchise industry.
- Leadership & Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage a sales team to consistently achieve and exceed targets.
- Sales Acumen: Exceptional strategic selling, negotiation, and deal-closing skills, particularly for complex B2B franchise transactions.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers at all levels.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Travel: Willingness and ability to undertake extensive travel within the assigned zone.
- Tech Proficiency: Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
