Job Summary

The Zoho Implementation Principal Engineer is the technical authority for designing, integrating,

and scaling the full Zoho ecosystem across complex enterprise environments. You will translate

business requirements into secure, highperformance solutions, guide crossfunctional delivery

teams, and act as the senior architect during discovery, build, and rollout phases. Success in

this role means owning endtoend solution integrityfrom technical architecture through

postgolive optimizationwhile mentoring engineers and ensuring every Zoho deployment

drives measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect enterprisegrade solutions across Zoho One applications (CRM, Creator,

Books, People, Desk, Analytics, etc.), ensuring security, scalability, and regulatory

compliance.

• Lead technical discovery; convert requirements into detailed solution blueprints,

integration specs, and datamigration plans.

• Own the full implementation lifecycle: prototype, configuration, Deluge/SQL scripting,

API integrations, UA testing, deployment automation, and hypercare.

• Integrate Zoho with legacy and thirdparty systems using REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks,

middleware (e.g., Mulesoft, Boomi), and ETL pipelines.

• Define and enforce coding standards, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and DevSecOps

best practices for Zohocentric projects.

• Serve as escalation point for complex performance tuning, security hardening, and

incident resolution; coordinate directly with Zoho support/engineering.

• Produce architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and knowledgetransfer

materials for client admins and internal teams.

• Mentor senior developers and solution engineers; conduct code reviews and run

brownbag sessions on advanced Zoho features.

• Contribute to presales efforts: levelofeffort estimation, technical proposals, and

proofofconcept demonstrations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years leading enterprise

SaaS/CRM implementations.

• Proven track record designing and deploying multimodule Zoho solutions (minimum 3

largescale rollouts of Zoho CRM plus two or more additional Zoho apps).

• Expertlevel proficiency in Deluge scripting, Zoho REST APIs, and integration patterns

(OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML, webhooks).

• Handson experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL/SQL Server) and

datamigration tooling.

• Strong understanding of DevOps fundamentals: Git, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines,

containerization.

• Excellent clientfacing communication and stakeholdermanagement skills.
• Ability to lead technical teams and manage multiple concurrent projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or MBA with technology focus.
• Zoho Certified Developer / Administrator credentials.
• Experience integrating Zoho with ERP suites (SAP, Oracle), cloud data warehouses, or

AI/ML platforms.

• Familiarity with BFSI or highly regulated industries (PCIDSS, ISO 27001, IRDAI

guidelines).

• Knowledge of RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere) and lowcode platforms.

Experience with Zoho Ecosystem

• Zoho CRM: Advanced customization, Canvas & Wizards, Blueprints, scoring rules, Zia

AI configuration.

• Zoho Creator: Complex multipage apps, Deluge workflows, mobilefirst design,

granular permissions.

• Zoho One Suite: Crossmodule automation, single signon, centralized admin console,

unified analytics.

• Zoho Analytics: Data modeling, custom dashboards, KPI tracking, embedded BI for

executive reporting.

• Deluge & API Mastery: Custom functions, serverside integrations, webhook

orchestration, bulk API optimizations.
