Job Description

Job Title:

UFT Automation Tester

Experience:

3–4 Years

Location:

Pune

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled

UFT Automation Tester

with

3–4 years of experience

in functional and regression test automation using

Micro Focus UFT (Unified Functional Testing)

. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in

VBScript

test framework development

, and

automation execution

integrated within

CI/CD pipelines

. Exposure to

UFT testing on OpenText data center platforms

will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Micro Focus UFT / UFT One.
Develop and enhance automation frameworks (Keyword-driven, Data-driven, Hybrid, or BDD).
Collaborate with manual testers and developers to identify test scenarios suitable for automation.
Execute and analyze automated test results to ensure accuracy and stability.
Integrate test automation with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or Git.
Manage test cases, execution, and reporting using HP ALM / Quality Center.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint-level quality assurance.
Perform API automation using UFT One (preferred).
Troubleshoot automation failures and perform root cause analysis.
Ensure adherence to QA standards, documentation, and process improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

3–4 years of experience in automation testing using Micro Focus UFT.
Proficiency in VBScript for UFT scripting.
Experience in framework design and development (Keyword/Data-driven/Hybrid/BDD).
Hands-on experience with HP ALM / Quality Center.
Experience with CI/CD integration tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or Git.
Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile processes.
Experience with API automation testing using UFT One (preferred).
Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Good To Have

Experience working with OpenText data center platforms.
Knowledge of version control tools (Git, Bitbucket).
Exposure to cloud-based test environments.

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Certification in Micro Focus UFT / Test Automation is a plus.
