Trainee, Demand Planning

As a Demand Planning Specialist at Saks, you will collaborate with Planners and Buyers to ensure accurate forecasting and inventory management to achieve department in-stock goals. Your responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with Planners and Buyers to manage Replenishment inventory by rectifying relevant components for accurate forecasting. - Demonstrating a strong grasp of concepts such as Stock-store Minimums/Presentation minimum, Maximums, Safety stock, Review Time, Lead time, and Store to store transfers. - Maintaining in-stock goals through effective product distribution and developing allocation strategies based on sales history and trends. - Analyzing and summarizing business performance of product categories to monitor sales, inventory, margin, and other factors affecting in-stocks and profitability. Key Qualifications: - Graduate/PG with preference for work experience in the retail industry and knowledge in supply chain. - Proficient in analytical skills, Advanced Excel, problem-solving, and forecasting. - Ability to manage data and interpret using statistical concepts. - Strong planning and operational skills with clear communication abilities. - Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office tools, with a positive attitude towards teamwork. - Highly motivated with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. - Knowledge of SQL and VBA Macros will be a plus.
