Test Engineer

SDET – Snowflake & Data Automation

Experience: 8+ years

Notice Period: Immediate or 30days only

Responsibilities:

• Conduct analysis, design, implementation, and unit testing to produce high-quality code (20%).
• Design and develop automated testing tools to create a unified manual and automated test strategy (20%).
• Engage in product design activities, which may include research and analysis (5%).
• Design and implement new software, while maintaining and enhancing existing software as needed.
• Break down requirements into tasks and provide estimates for those tasks (20%).
• Ensure that code adheres to strict standards for accessibility, security, and performance.
• Function and communicate effectively within a software development team, including developers, quality assurance, and product & project management members (5%).
• Actively participate in requirements, design, and code reviews (5%).
• Engage in group improvement activities and initiatives to enhance process and product quality in pursuit of excellence (5%).
• Write documentation for both internal and external consumers, covering design artifacts, code, and fixes (5%).
• Mentor associate software developers and continually contribute to process improvement activities (5%).
• Partner with feature developers and other SDETs to build tools and infrastructure ensuring the highest standards of code testing (5%).
• Collaborate with the Performance & Scalability team to integrate performance and scalability into all test strategies and project plans (5%).

Minimum Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum Years of Experience Required:

7+ years in the job offered or a related role.

Special Skills and/or Licenses Required:

• Proficiency with SQL and database functions (3+ years)
• Hands-on experience with Automation frameworks (3+ years)
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum and Kanban) with short turnaround times (3+ years)
• Strong communication skills to explain complex technical issues to non-technical audiences (3+ years)
• Strong analytical skills to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy (3+ years)
• Experience with Snowflake (3+ years)
• Experience with Talend (3+ years)
• Experience with Tableau (3+ years)
• Experience with Sigma (3+ Years)
