Job Description

As a Database Administrator at NTT DATA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of databases and processes. Your responsibilities will include contributing to the design of both back-end data organization and front-end accessibility for end-users. Collaborating closely with various teams, you will establish user needs, monitor access and security, and control database environments effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Refine the logical design of databases to facilitate specific data model translation - Assist in conceptual design mapping for planned databases - Participate in writing comprehensive database documentation, including data standards and metadata definitions - Create, test, and execute data management languages - Monitor database performance parameters to ensure swift query responses - Regularly monitor production databases and respond to issues promptly - Support database utility development and automated reporting - Establish data sharing and disk partitioning - Facilitate concurrent data access for front-end users based on their requirements - Collaborate with Change Control and Release Management for application commissioning and customization - Apply patches and upgrade databases as per design team requirements - Maintain data standards in alignment with business needs, NTT policies, and data protection regulations - Work within the company's security information requirements and procedures - Install, configure, and maintain database management systems and related software as per the administration plan Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes: - Proficiency in data encryption techniques and database querying tools - Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with attention to detail - Strong problem analysis and mathematical validation skills - Analytical mindset and business acumen - Effective communication of complex IT information to diverse audiences - Understanding of data architecture principles and services - Solid knowledge of relational database design and administration - Familiarity with application development lifecycle and data access layers - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills - Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain data integrity - Excellent documentation skills and process orientation - Proficiency in manipulating large datasets and extracting value - Experience managing databases and application services in a complex integrated environment Academic Qualifications and Certifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, information technology, or related field - Relevant certifications such as MCSE DBA, Oracle's Associate, or equivalent - ITIL certification is preferred Experience Required: - Proven experience as a Database Administrator - Demonstrated expertise in database backup, recovery best practices, and health assessment reports - Experience working with suppliers to deliver solutions - Proficiency in Oracle Enterprise and Microsoft SQL Server - Experience in managing databases effectively Join us at NTT DATA, an Equal Opportunity Employer, where you can leverage your expertise to drive innovation and make a meaningful impact in a dynamic global team environment.,
