Description
As the Technical Architect, you will be responsible for defining and driving the overall technical architecture and design of enterprise software systems and applications. Your role will involve providing technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle, from concept and design to deployment and support. You will play a crucial role in evaluating and recommending appropriate tools, technologies, and frameworks for the tech stack based on project and business requirements. Collaboration with stakeholders, including product managers, business analysts, developers, and DevOps teams, will be essential as you translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Additionally, you will lead the development of prototypes, proof of concepts (POCs), and reference implementations while ensuring adherence to best practices in architecture, coding, performance, scalability, and security. Your responsibilities will also include conducting design and code reviews, mentoring development teams on architecture and engineering excellence, and identifying and addressing architectural risks, technical debt, and bottlenecks in the system design. Maintenance of documentation for architecture decisions, patterns, integrations, and standards will be a key aspect of your role. To be successful in this position, you should have 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a minimum of 3+ years in a technical/solution architecture role. Hands-on experience in designing and building scalable applications using modern technology stacks is required, along with a strong knowledge of microservices architecture, cloud-native development, and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is also necessary. A deep understanding of RESTful APIs, integration patterns, and enterprise messaging systems is essential, while familiarity with frontend technologies like React, Angular, or Vue.js is considered a plus. Proficiency in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated testing frameworks is expected, as well as strong database knowledge in both RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra). Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail are crucial attributes for this role. Strong communication and leadership abilities are necessary for articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Desirable qualifications include TOGAF or similar architecture certification, experience with enterprise integration patterns, ESB tools, or event-driven architecture, exposure to AI/ML integration, big data platforms, or real-time streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spark), and experience in multi-tenant SaaS product architecture.
