Structural Design Engineer

As a structural engineer, you will be primarily focused on the analysis and design of buildings and structures to ensure they are safe and able to withstand various elements. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with clients, architects, and other professionals to develop construction plans, preparing reports and designs, conducting load and stress calculations, and utilizing computer simulations to predict structural reactions under different conditions. Additionally, you will be involved in inspecting buildings for safety concerns, selecting construction materials, obtaining regulatory approvals, and monitoring contractor work. To qualify for this role, you should have a degree or postgraduate qualification in structural or civil engineering along with 3 to 5 years of experience in consultancy firms. Proficiency in software such as ETABS, SAFE, Staad Pro, and AutoCAD is required, as well as familiarity with British and Euro design codes. You should possess strong communication, interpersonal, and technical skills, as well as the ability to solve complex problems and meet deadlines. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits including health insurance, leave encashment, life insurance, and paid sick time.
