Sr. Tech Lead - Open Source Technologies

The Applications Development Group Manager position is a senior management role that involves managing a team and making significant hands-on contributions to develop new or updated application systems and programs in collaboration with the Technology Team. The primary goal is to drive activities related to applications systems analysis and programming. We are looking for an experienced SVP of Technology to join our organization. The ideal candidate should have a successful track record of building and supporting global technology solutions, promoting innovation, and delivering groundbreaking products. This role requires a strategic individual with strong leadership, communication, and technical skills, capable of defining product vision and strategy, coding large-scale projects, and effectively collaborating with various teams. Responsibilities: - Utilize comprehensive knowledge of concepts and procedures within the area to develop and implement solutions. - Leadership & Strategy: - Assist in defining the technology vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business goals. - Lead a global technology team, encouraging innovation and engineering excellence. - Drive technology exploration, present ideas to executive leadership. - Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders. - Product Development & Delivery: - Manage the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to maintenance. - Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of products and services within budget constraints. - Implement effective product development methodologies (e.g., Agile, SAFe). - Promote the adoption of modern technologies and best practices (e.g., DevSecOps, Cloud). - Team Management & Development: - Mentor high-performing engineering teams. - Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment. - Innovation & Growth: - Identify and assess new technologies and trends to drive innovation and growth. - Lead the development of new products and features. - Enhance engineering processes and practices continuously. - Collaboration & Communication: - Communicate technical concepts and strategies effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Collaborate efficiently with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, marketing, sales). Qualifications: - 17+ years of experience in technology leadership roles with a successful track record. - Experience in leading global technology teams. - Profound understanding of software development methodologies and best practices. - Deep knowledge of software architecture principles and best practices. - Hands-on experience with Open source technologies such as Java/Springboot, Kafka, Openshift/Docker/Kubernetes. - Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Experience in building and scaling SaaS platforms. - Experience in a large financial conglomerate. - Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred. Executive education from esteemed institutions is advantageous. Education: - Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience. - Master's degree preferred.,
