Sr. Tech Lead - Open Source Technologies

The Applications Development Group Manager is responsible for managing a team and making a significant individual contribution towards establishing and implementing new application systems and programs. The primary goal is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities. We are looking for a seasoned SVP of Technology to join our technology organization. The ideal candidate should have a successful track record in building and supporting global technology solutions, fostering innovation, and delivering groundbreaking products. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership, communication, and technical skills to set product vision, lead large-scale projects, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams. Responsibilities: - Utilize in-depth knowledge to develop and deliver solutions within and across various areas - **Leadership & Strategy:** - Define technology vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business goals - Lead a global technology team, promoting innovation and engineering excellence - Propose and advocate technology ideas to executive leadership - Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders - **Product Development & Delivery:** - Manage the entire product development lifecycle from concept to maintenance - Ensure timely and high-quality product delivery within budget and resources - Implement effective product development methodologies like Agile and SAFe - Drive adoption of modern technologies and best practices such as DevSecOps and Cloud - **Team Management & Development:** - Mentor high-performing engineering teams - Encourage collaboration in the work environment - **Innovation & Growth:** - Evaluate new technologies to drive innovation and growth - Lead new product and feature development and implementation - Enhance engineering processes and practices continuously - **Collaboration & Communication:** - Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences - Collaborate with cross-functional teams like product, marketing, and sales Qualifications: - 17+ years of experience in technology leadership - Proven success in leading global technology teams - Profound knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices - Deep understanding of software architecture principles - Hands-on experience with Java/Springboot, Kafka, Openshift/Docker/Kubernates - Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills - Experience in building and scaling SaaS platforms - Experience in a large financial conglomerate - Master's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred Education: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - Master's degree preferred If you require assistance due to a disability to use our search tools or apply for a job opportunity, please review the Accessibility at Citi.
