Sr Staff Engineer - System solution AI Center of Excellence

As part of Qualcomm AI Systems Solution CoE (Center of Excellence) team, you will develop leading-edge products and solutions around best-in-class Qualcomm high-performance inference accelerators for cloud, edge, and hybrid AI applications. You will be responsible for developing and delivering system solution software for requirements across automotive, cloud, and industrial IoT BUs, and driving overall system solutions. Your tasks will include defining AI/ML system solutions, optimizing ML models (including GenAI/LLMs/ LVMs/ LMMs), and ensuring efficient and scalable deployment on inference accelerators and edge devices of different form factors. Key Responsibilities: - Demonstrate leadership experience on projects from architecture, development, design, deployment to production - Utilize hands-on experience in ML/AI tools development with Deep Learning frameworks like Pytorch 1.x, 2.x, TensorFlow, ONNX, etc - Exhibit a strong understanding of model architectures across CV, NLP, LLMs, LVMs, and Multi-Modal NWs - Work on inference graph optimization, Quantization, pruning, and compression techniques - Understand performance and accuracy metrics for different classes of neural NWs - Familiarity with AI edge and server systems, infrastructure, and industry standards - Hands-on Experience with Object-Oriented Design, design patterns - Strong implementation skills in python/C++ (Skill level > 7/10) - Proficiency in Data structures & Algorithms (Skill level > 7/10) - Knowledge of LLM fine-tuning, Quantization aware training - Familiarity with machine learning runtimes like ONNX Runtime, Pytorch, and TF runtimes - Experience in surveying competitor toolchains and staying updated on the latest industry trends - Ability to develop both prototype and production quality solutions - Generate new and innovative ideas for product or feature areas - Possess excellent analytical, development, and debugging skills Desirable Skills: - Experience with GPUs, machine learning accelerators, and related software - Knowledge of ML compilers like TVM, GLOW, XLA - Proficiency in version control tools like GIT, GITHUB Qualifications: - Bachelor's/Masters/PHD degree in Engineering, Machine learning/AI, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field - Minimum 10+ years of Industry Experience in Systems engineering - Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with machine learning workloads and tasks including computer vision, natural language processing, and large language models Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing accessible processes for individuals with disabilities.
