What Youll Do

As an experienced Automation Analyst, you will report to the Lead/Manager and partner with the tax-compliance team to deliver process and product-automation solutions. You will contribute to Avalara’s tax and compliance automation strategies while enhancing the overall experience of the service.

Work Mode:

Your Responsibilities

Develop technical skills in AI and RPA tools.
Engage cross-functionally to drive and deliver process automation.
Perform data analysis and support special projects.
Support product setup and customer-settings review.
Prepare and file indirect-tax returns (approx. 20 % of time)
Apply jurisdiction knowledge to compliance services.
Monitor tech-change updates from state/local authorities.
Lead process/product improvements for efficiency and risk reduction.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

Experience with RPA tools such as Power Automate and UiPath.
Ability to learn new software and adapt technology for tax & compliance.
Strong attention to detail with accountability and ownership.
Consistent on-time delivery; meets deadlines.
Collaborative team player with cross-functional communication skills.
Willingness to work swing shifts (2 pm to 11 pm).

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Math, Economics, or Computer Science.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
