We count on our site reliability engineers (SREs) to empower users with a rich feature set, high availability, and stellar performance level to pursue their missions. We are searching for a composed and focuses on ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of software systems and infrastructure. SREs are essentially DevOps engineers who specialize in building and maintaining robust systems that can handle real-time loads and user traffic. SREs are responsible for automating tasks, monitoring systems, and responding to incidents to ensure smooth operation. Required Qualifications: We are a startup and expect each team member to wear multiple hats, take initiative, and spot and solve problems. Monitoring and Incident Response: You are responsible for constantly monitoring system performance, detecting issues, and responding to incidents quickly to minimize downtime. Automation: Automate tasks related to system administration, deployment, and monitoring to improve efficiency and reduce human error. Identify opportunities for improving the product to reduce the error rate Infrastructure Management: Managing the underlying infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud resources, to ensure they are reliable and performant. Capacity Planning and Performance Optimization: Plan for future capacity needs and optimize system performance to handle increased loads. Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with development, operations, and other teams to ensure smooth deployments, releases, and overall system reliability. Must be able to communicate effectively with other teams and stakeholders. Key Skills and Requirements: Strong Coding Skills: Must be comfortable writing code, particularly for automation and monitoring tools. Problem-Solving Abilities: Must be able to diagnose and resolve issues quickly and efficiently. Experience with Automation Tools: Familiarity with tools like Ansible, Puppet, Docker, and Kubernetes is often expected. Preferred skills and qualifications Ability to program (structured and OOP) using one or more high-level languages, such as Python, Java, C/C++, Ruby, and JavaScript Experience with distributed storage technologies such as NFS, HDFS, Ceph, and Amazon S3, as well as dynamic resource management frameworks (Apache Mesos, Kubernetes, Yarn) Proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Previous success in technical engineering is preferred. Coding experience beyond simple scripts. What are we looking for?
