Job Description

As an MS SQL Database Administrator, your role will involve installation, upgradation, administration, maintenance, and monitoring of SQL Server Instances. You will be responsible for monitoring DB backups, database health, and resolving day-to-day DB related issues. Additionally, you will manage database access and design database backup and recovery strategies. Key Responsibilities: - Installation, upgradation, administration, maintenance, and monitoring of SQL Server Instances - Monitoring DB backups, database health, and resolving day-to-day DB related issues - Database access management - Designing database backup and recovery strategies - Troubleshooting database performance issues (e.g., Memory bottlenecks, CPU bottlenecks, I/O bottlenecks) - Setting up High-Availability and Disaster Recovery using AlwaysOn - Upgrading databases from older SQL versions to latest ones (SQL 2000 onwards) - Migrating databases from on-prem to Azure/AWS/GCP - Implementing Organizational Data Security and Compliance policies - Utilizing IT Service Management tools such as ServiceNow/BMC Remedy Qualification Required: - Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related technical field - DB Administration Certifications on MS Azure (DP-300) or AWS or GCP will be preferred - Knowledge of PostgreSQL database is preferred - Basic understanding of MS Azure/AWS/GCP fundamentals - Good communication skills,
