SQL Database Administrator

We are looking for a skilled SQL Database Administrator with 5-8 years of experience to join our team in Gurgaon. The ideal candidate will have expertise in maintaining production servers, creating new users on SQL server, and managing SQL Server security.

• Maintain production servers across multiple environments.
• Create and manage new users on SQL server and ensure database security.
• Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery procedures.
• Test backups to meet business Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
• Replicate data using SQL Server replication tools.
• Optimize SQL queries, store procedures, views, and triggers for maximum efficiency and scalability.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize SQL Server performance.
• Troubleshoot SQL Server service outages as they occur, including after-hours and weekends, and configure monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms.
• Create configuration documents for the database environment.
• Perform defragmentation, memory management, data migration, and server upgrades.
• Apply patches on existing or new SQL servers.
• Conduct hands-on experience in SQL Data analysis using queries and Microsoft Excel.
• Utilize AWS RDS (database services) and knowledge of High availability concepts like log shipping, replication, mirroring, Always ON, and clustering.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of performance tuning and .net application projects, along with understanding of connection strings and profiler usage.
• Carry out tasks such as defragmentation, memory management, data migration, and server upgrades.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in database administration, preferably in IT Software - Application Programming / Maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, stored procedures, triggers, views, and database design.
• Experience with SQL Server monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Familiarity with AWS RDS (database services) and high availability concepts.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
