Educational Requirements Master Of Engineering,MCA,MSc,MTech,Bachelor of Engineering,BCA,BSc,BTech Service Line Application Development and Maintenance Responsibilities Roles and Responsibilities:Technical Leadership & Mentorship:Lead a team of PL/SQL developers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and code reviews.Foster a collaborative environment and promote knowledge sharing within the team.Define and enforce PL/SQL coding standards, best practices, and performance optimization techniques.Assist in the professional development of team members.Design & Development:Design, develop, and implement complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.Create and optimize SQL queries for various database operations and reporting needs.Develop and maintain database schemas, tables, and indexes.Work closely with architects and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications.Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.Performance Tuning & Optimization:Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in existing PL/SQL code and SQL queries.Utilize Oracle performance tuning tools (e.g., AWR, ADDM, Explain Plan, SQL Trace) to analyze and optimize database performance.Implement efficient data loading, transformation, and extraction strategies.Database Management & Support:Collaborate with database administrators (DBAs) for schema design, capacity planning, and database maintenance activities.Provide production support for PL/SQL applications, troubleshooting issues and implementing timely solutions.Ensure data integrity and security within the database environment.Documentation & Reporting:Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for PL/SQL code, database designs, and processes.Generate reports and provide insights on database performance and development progress.Collaboration & Communication:Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Java developers, QA, Business Analysts) to ensure seamless integration and delivery. Additional Responsibilities: EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.CertificationsOracle Certified Professional (OCP) in PL/SQL or Database Administration is a plus. Technical and Professional Requirements: 5-8 years of extensive experience in Oracle PL/SQL development, including strong proficiency in writing complex stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.Expertise in SQL tuning and optimization for high-volume, high-performance applications.Solid understanding of Oracle database architecture, data modeling, and relational database concepts.Experience with various Oracle features such as Analytical Functions, Materialized Views, Partitions, and Indexes.Proficiency in using SQL Developer, Toad, or similar Oracle development tools.Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree (preferably in information technology, engineering, math, computer science, analytics, engineering, or another related field) Revenue Cycle Management Domain Experience 7+ years in a healthcare data warehouse setting and experience in profiling and analyzing disparate healthcare datasets (Financial, Clinical Quality, Value Based Care, population health, Revenue cycle analytics, Health system operations, etc.) and ability to convert this data into insights 7+ years working with healthcare datasets and ability to convert the business requirements into functional designs that are scalable and maintainable 7 + years of experience with Oracle/SQL server databases including T-SQL, PL/SQL, Indexing, partitioning, performance tuning 7+ years of experience in creating Source to Target Mappings and ETL designs (using SSIS / Informatica / DataStage) for integration of new/modified data streams into the data warehouse/data marts 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing data models to support analytics with solid knowledge of dimensional modeling concepts Experience with Epic Clarity and/or Caboodle data models Healthcare Domain Knowledge At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
