Software - Intern

As a Software Development Intern at Vecmocon, an IIT Delhi-incubated deep-tech EV startup, you will play a crucial role in enhancing production and quality processes. Your primary responsibilities will involve developing and testing Functional Component Testing (FCT) and Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI) tools to automate the validation of EV hardware such as BMS, chargers, and IoT devices. These tools will utilize protocols like CAN to conduct predefined tests, ensuring that each unit meets the high functional and quality standards before dispatch. Additionally, you will contribute to adapting tools for new product lines, with test results being sent to the cloud for further analysis. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing and maintaining internal Python-based tools with PyQt for the GUI. - Implementing and automating test cases for BMS, Chargers, and IoT devices. - Interfacing with hardware using the CAN protocol and conducting validation checks. - Managing device logs and uploading data to the cloud for analysis. - Collaborating with hardware and production teams to comprehend device workflows effectively. To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: - Proficient in Python programming. - Familiarity with PyQt/GUI frameworks would be advantageous. - Understanding of basic electronics and embedded systems concepts. - Exposure to communication protocols like CAN is highly beneficial. - Ability to debug and test hardware-software integration efficiently. - Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards learning in a hardware-centric environment.
