Software Engineer II (Backend)

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications and services. Your focus will be on writing well-tested, maintainable code that emphasizes scalability and performance. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and implement solutions is a key aspect of this role. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and debugging complex issues across multiple systems. Participation in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, working in an Agile environment, and contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives are part of your responsibilities. Continuous learning to stay updated with new technologies and best practices, as well as contributing to the design and architecture of new features and product enhancements, are essential components of this position. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with 4+ years of experience in software development, focusing on Java. Proficiency in Java programming, including experience with frameworks, is required. You should also be familiar with relational databases (such as MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks, as well as have an understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Experience with version control systems like Git, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to debug complex issues are necessary. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are also essential for this role. Preferred skills for this position include familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), experience with testing frameworks (unit testing, integration testing), and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.,
