Job Description

Position Title - Software Engineer

Department - Tech

Employment Type - Full-time

Purpose of the role:

Drive the end-to-end design, development and ongoing evolution of Palmonas e-commerce and retail technology platform; partner with leadership to define and execute the technical roadmap and charter; serve as a hands-on contributor across the stack.

Detailed Responsibility:

Co-own the tech roadmap, breaking it into quarterly deliverables and defining clear success

metrics

Architect, develop and deploy scalable backend services (APIs, integrations with Shopify/Ginesys,

WMS/OMS)

Build and maintain responsive frontend modules and dashboard interfaces

Implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code and monitoring to ensure 99.9% availability

Collaborate with product, operations and design teams to translate requirements into robust

technical solutions

Mentor junior engineers and establish best-practice standards for code quality, testing and

documentation

Key Competencies:

Job related (Functional/ Technical) Behavioral Competencies:

Full-stack proficiency (Node.js/Python, React/Vue), cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), microservices, REST/GraphQL, Docker/Kubernetes, agile methodologies

Ownership mindset, problem-solving rigor, cross-functional collaboration, adaptability in a fast-paced startup environment

Experience:

Mandatory - 5+ years building production-grade software; proven track record in at least one

high-growth startup or digital retail platform

Desirable - Prior founding-team or first 5 hires” experience; background in e-commerce,

omnichannel integrations or retail tech

Educational Qualification:

Mandatory - Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
