Key Responsibilities:
Database Architecture & PerformanceDesign and deploy high-performance SQL Server database systems.Perform performance tuning and optimize database environments.Implement monitoring solutions to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.Database Maintenance & OperationsDeploy and manage Ola Hallengren maintenance scripts.Establish robust backup and recovery procedures.Conduct health checks, capacity planning, and resource monitoring.High Availability & DRDesign and manage SQL Server replication (transactional, merge, snapshot).Configure and support Always On Availability Groups.Implement read replicas and comprehensive disaster recovery plans.Cloud Database ManagementManage AWS RDS for SQL Server, including optimization and migrations.Configure cloud backups, patching, and monitoring.Ensure security, performance, and cost-effective operations in cloud environments.Security & ComplianceApply security policies, access controls, and authentication.Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance.Manage encryption of data at rest and in transit.What Youll Bring:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.8+ years of SQL Server DBA experience.Expertise in SQL Server (2016+), T-SQL, and PowerShell scripting.Proven experience with Ola Hallengren scripts, Always On, replication, and AWS RDS.Deep understanding of SQL internals, query execution plans, and performance optimization.Experience with tools like SQL Profiler, Extended Events, DMVs, and third-party tools (Redgate, SentryOne, etc.).Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.Self-driven, adaptable, and capable of working in fast-paced environments.Nice to Have:Microsoft SQL Server certifications (MCSA, MCSE, Azure).Experience with Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL, or multi-cloud platforms.Interested candidates, please share your resume with current & expected CTC, notice period, and preferred location.
