Job Description

You should have 5-7 years of hands-on experience in software manual testing. Your role will involve analyzing requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to create detailed test plans and test cases. You must be proficient in conducting functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of both web and mobile applications. In this position, you will be responsible for logging, tracking, and managing defects through resolution, with effective communication to developers and stakeholders. You should be comfortable collaborating with cross-functional Agile teams, actively contributing during sprint planning and story grooming sessions. As part of your responsibilities, you will need to ensure that test coverage meets defined quality standards. This includes participating in test coverage analysis and reporting, as well as conducting exploratory and ad-hoc testing for risk-based feature validation. Your role will also involve participating in release readiness activities, such as test case reviews, documentation, and sign-offs. You should be proactive in refining and enhancing QA processes and best practices within the organization. Additionally, you should have experience mentoring junior QA engineers and supporting their technical and career development. Effective communication skills are essential for sharing QA status, results, and risks with team leads and project managers. A strong understanding of testing methodologies, defect lifecycle, and Agile development processes is required for this role. You should be skilled at writing clear, detailed, and well-structured test cases and defect reports. Proficiency in cross-browser and cross-device testing for web and mobile applications is also expected. Experience with tools such as JIRA, Browser stack, Confluence, or equivalents for test management and documentation is necessary. Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman is also beneficial. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and verbal/written communication skills are essential for this role. Additionally, experience in usability and accessibility testing, exposure to automation tools or concepts, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and the QA role within them would be considered advantageous.,
