Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview: You will be part of the Data platform and Analytics team at Guidewire where you will contribute to building and operating the cloud-native data platform and analytics SaaS offerings. The platform is designed to provide mission-critical insights and decision-making capabilities to customers, supporting analytics, data science, and data applications. Key Responsibilities: - Build M & O dashboards for cloud native Big Data Platform - Build tooling for continuous deployment and operation of cloud native services - Build tooling for cost tracking of AWS resources used in Data Platform - Improve incident management lifecycle to identify, mitigate, and learn from reliability risks - Develop deeper insights - Optimize and troubleshoot data pipelines for speed and efficiency - Implement data security measures and maintain data integrity - Analyze and improve performance and scalability of data pipelines and storage solutions - Monitor and maintain data workflows for consistency and reliability - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and implement data requirements Qualification Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field - Minimum 5+ years of work experience - Proven experience in building automation for deploying and operating cloud-native SaaS services - Proficiency in data processing languages such as Python, Java, or Scala - Experience with Monitoring & Observability tools like Datadog, Open Telemetry, ELK - Strong technical knowledge of cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, networking, storage, operating systems - Experience with open data formats like parquet, Iceberg - Hands-on Experience with AWS and its native services - Understanding of IaaS abstractions like Kubernetes/Cloud foundry/OpenShift - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cost optimization, performance tuning of AWS resources, and securing cloud-native services - Hands-on Experience with container technologies like Kubernetes - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment About Guidewire: Guidewire is a trusted platform for P&C insurers, offering digital, core, analytics, and AI solutions delivered as a cloud service.
