Senior Python Developer

Role Overview

• Looking for a Python Web Developer having relevant years of experience who will be part of the application development team for a major Insurance client. He/ She will work with different stakeholders to identify application development opportunities.
• Expertise in Python programming with a strong understandingof Python best practices and design patterns.
• The candidate should have goodexperience of creating scalable, reusable and maintainable web apps usingWeb Framework like Django, Flask, Fast API etc.
• Advanced level knowledge of NumPy, Pandas & OOPS is mandatory. Minimum 3+ years of experience required.
• Hands on experience on creating REST API’s and using ORM.
• Hands on experience on Relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle DB etc.
• Good to have exposure on Cloud Services like AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Experience in life insurance is preferred but not mandatory.

• Common Skillsets:
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Should be able to work on a problem independently and prepare client ready deliverable with minimal or no supervision.
• Good communication skills for client interaction
• Application development Skillsets:
• Exposure to Web development frameworks like Django, Flask, Fast API etc.
• Good knowledge of OOPS is required.
• Experience in designing, implementation, and testing of Python application with good understanding of object-oriented programming, multi-tier architecture, parallel/ multi-threaded programming.
• Knowledge of Agile/Waterfall methodologyfor application development and testing life cycle.
• Data Management Skillsets:
• Ability to understand data in line with business use cases and requirements to identify patterns, data quality gaps, data lineage, etc.
• Should have strong grasp of advanced SQL functionalities (joins, nested query, and procedures).
• Strong ability to translate functional specifications / requirements to technical requirements.
  

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in economics, mathematics,computer science/engineering or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply.
