Job Description

Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Administer and maintain VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter environments, including VM provisioning, cluster management, HA/DRS configuration, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Oversee installation, configuration, patching, and hardening of Windows Server (20122022), ensuring compliance and optimal performance.
  • Manage core Windows infrastructure services such as DNS, DHCP, File Services, IIS, and related enterprise components.
  • Administer Microsoft Active Directory, including domains, trusts, FSMO roles, replication, and directory performance optimization.
  • Troubleshoot and enhance GPO management, identity lifecycle processes, AD audit cleanups, and implement strong security controls.
  • Manage enterprise backup platforms (Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup, TSM), including backup job configuration, retention policies, storage assignments, and restore operations.
  • Lead disaster recovery planning, execution, and periodic validation in alignment with business continuity requirements.
  • Maintain ISMS (ISO 27001) compliance, including WADU documentation, access controls, vulnerability management, and remediation activities.
  • Support and administer Red Hat OpenShift clusters, ensuring cluster health, node stability, deployments, networking, and secure container management.
  • Implement and maintain container and registry security hardening across OpenShift environments.
  • Perform capacity analysis across compute, storage, and network resources, generating utilization and forecasting reports for future planning.
  • Manage patch and deployment infrastructures including WSUS, MDT, WDS, and NPS, ensuring automated OS builds and secure network authentication (RADIUS).
  • Lead Sev1/critical incident resolution, ensuring timely escalation handling and conducting detailed root-cause analysis.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to L1 and L2 teams to enhance overall operational maturity.
  • Maintain comprehensive infrastructure documentation including architecture diagrams, SOPs, runbooks, and ensure compliance with ITIL-based incident, change, and problem management processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering
  • Preferred Certifications: VMware VCP, Microsoft Server/Azure/MCSA, RHCSA/OpenShift, ITIL Foundation
