About the Role

API Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure APIs.
• Work on dynamic query building and optimization for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend, backend, and data teams to ensure smooth data integration.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex API issues.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Ensure APIs follow best practices for performance, security, and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in API development.

• Strong coding fundamentals

  with ability to work on complex dynamic queries.

• Proficiency in Ruby

  (preferred) OR

  extremely strong Java background

  with proven adaptability.
• Solid understanding of

  RESTful API design principles

  .
• Experience with

  SQL/relational databases

  and dynamic query handling.
• Knowledge of

  API authentication & authorization

  (OAuth, JWT, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with

  performance optimization

  and debugging.
• Familiarity with

  Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)

  .

Nice to Have

• Experience with

  GraphQL

  or other API architectures.
• Familiarity with

  containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

  .
• Exposure to

  monitoring & logging tools

  for APIs.
• Previous experience in

  high-availability, data-heavy applications

  .
