Senior Accounts Executive

As a Senior Accounts Executive in the Australian Accounting Department, your primary responsibility will be preparing financial statements in compliance with the current legal and accounting reporting standards in Australia, specifically specializing in special purpose financial statements. Additionally, you will be tasked with managing the preparation of the fixed asset register and demonstrating a working knowledge of division 7a. Your role will involve the preparation of clear and concise work papers, as well as engaging in ad hoc project work. You will also be responsible for the preparation of monthly and quarterly activity statements, including FBT preparation of employee contributions based on motor vehicle benefits. Strong verbal communication skills are essential for this role, and ideally, you should have bookkeeping experience and be Xero certified. To excel in this position, you must have prior experience in Xero and XPM (Xero Tax) software. Possession of a CPA/CA+ CPA qualification is preferred, along with a minimum of 4 years of experience working on Australian financial statements and income tax returns. The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team is crucial, as well as the capacity to perform effectively under pressure and organize tasks to meet deadlines. You should have 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Xero XPM and Australian taxation. In addition to technical skills, you must possess excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, preferably with an Australian accent. A minimum of 3 years of Australian Accounting experience is a must for this role.
