Job Description

Critical Skills to Possess:


A minimum of 5 of experience in Salesforce applications development

Salesforce Certification: A Salesforce Applications Developer should have one or more Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II. These certifications validate the developer's knowledge and expertise in building custom applications on the Salesforce platform.

Salesforce Platform Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Salesforce platform, its architecture, and various functionalities. Familiarity with Salesforce data model, security model, workflow rules, process builder, and customization options is essential. Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC) development.

Familiarity with Salesforce administration, including security, user management, and data management.

Understanding of integration techniques and experience with REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and middleware.

Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.

Ability to analyze complex business requirements and propose scalable technical solutions.

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience

Roles and Responsibilities

Requirement Gathering: Collaborating with business users, stakeholders, Functional Analysts and Product Owners to gather and understand application requirements. This involves analyzing current processes, identifying gaps, and proposing solutions within the Salesforce platform.

Configuration and Customization: Configuring the Salesforce platform to meet business requirements, including setting up custom objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, and process automation. Developing custom functionalities using Apex (Salesforce's programming language) and Visualforce (Salesforce's markup language).

Integration: Integrating Salesforce with other systems and platforms, such as ERP systems, marketing automation tools, or third-party applications. This includes designing and implementing data mappings, ensuring data integrity, and developing integration logic using APIs, middleware, or other tools.

Testing and Deployment: Creating test plans, conducting unit testing, and coordinating user acceptance testing. Managing the deployment process, including sandbox development, version control, and change management. Ensuring smooth deployments and minimizing impact on production environments.

Support and Maintenance: Providing support to end-users, troubleshooting issues, and resolving bugs or system errors. Managing user access, security, and permissions within the Salesforce platform. Monitoring system performance and recommending optimizations.

Documentation and Training: Documenting application design, technical specifications, and system configurations. Creating user manuals, training materials, and conducting training sessions for end-users. Ensuring knowledge transfer and enablement of stakeholders.
