Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize software for real-time video capture, encoding, and streaming across IP networks. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in C++ programming, a solid understanding of multimedia frameworks, and experience utilizing hardware acceleration for video codecs and embedded platforms.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable and high-performance video surveillance systems that operate efficiently under strict resource constraints.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement real-time video capture, encoding, and streaming pipelines using C/C++.
• Develop and maintain components supporting RTSP, RTP, and related streaming protocols.
• Optimize software performance by leveraging hardware accelerators, GPUs, and codec engines (H.264, H.265).
• Integrate video processing algorithms into SoC or embedded Linux environments.
• Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to ensure efficient system integration.
• Debug, profile, and enhance system performance for low-latency, high-quality streaming.
• Implement network and memory management strategies to maximize throughput and stability.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain software quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in video software or embedded development.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++, with a focus on real-time and multithreaded programming.
• Hands-on experience with RTSP/RTP/RTMP, socket programming, and video network protocols.
• Knowledge of video codecs (H.264, H.265, MJPEG) and container formats.
• Experience with hardware-accelerated encoding/decoding using platforms like NVIDIA, Novatek, Ambarella, or similar.
• Familiarity with GStreamer, FFmpeg, or similar media frameworks.
• Understanding of memory management, buffer control, and synchronization in streaming systems.
