Job Description

IRP systems is developing the next generation of high-performance e-powertrain systems that will change the electric vehicles market. We are seeking for an experienced Quality Manager in India.You’ll be responsible for the following:

The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and managing all quality assurance and control activities in the automotive manufacturing environment. This role ensures that all products meet customer and regulatory requirements, implements and maintains quality management systems (QMS), and drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability, customer satisfaction, and process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Lead and supervise the quality team (engineers, inspectors, technicians) to ensure consistent quality performance and adherence to standards.
  • Manage APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) activities.
  • Monitor and analyze key quality metrics (scrap rate, PPM, customer complaints, warranty data) and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead internal and external audits (IATF, ISO, customer, and supplier audits).
  • Act as the primary contact for customers regarding quality issues, concerns, and performance reviews.
  • Oversee supplier quality management, including qualification, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, PDCA).
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards applicable to the automotive industry.
Skills and Qualifications::

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering or related fields.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Quality leadership management role within the automotive industry
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience electronics and mechanical manufacturing
  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification
  • Expertise on automotive quality standard IATF 16949, auditing, risk assessment and functional safety (ISO 26262)
  • Proficiency in quality tools (8D, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
  • Familiarity with advanced manufacturing processes and technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to manage and resolve customer quality issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.
