Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Database Developer with experience in PLSQL testing, automated testing, and manual testing to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of applications through comprehensive testing methodologies. The person will work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test cases for PLSQL-based applications.

• Perform PLSQL testing by writing and executing queries to validate database integrity and business logic.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or any other automation frameworks.
• Conduct manual testing to identify issues in UI, functionality, performance, and usability.
• Collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand system requirements and identify test scenarios.
• Document test results, defects, and testing progress in test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar platforms.
• Participate in test planning, test strategy creation, and provide effort estimation for testing tasks.
• Ensure test coverage by performing regression testing, integration testing, and system testing.
• Identify, report, and track defects through their lifecycle.
• Contribute to test automation frameworks and recommend process improvements.
• Perform root cause analysis and provide feedback to developers.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
• Identify scope for Test Automation and contribute to designing the automation solutions for ETL and Report testing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in QA testing with a focus on PLSQL testing.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and understanding relational databases like Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools like Selenium, TestNG, or similar.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in Agile teams.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Practical knowledge of data warehousing concepts, relational databases, ETL tools/processes, and data integration technologies.
• Hands-on experience in delivering ETL solutions for handling data load and reporting requirements.
• Expertise in identifying data validation cases and conducting thorough integration/regression testing of reporting solutions.
• Ability to quickly familiarize with domain and understands data better.
• Willingness to participate in project delivery both in the capacity of a tester and developer as necessary.
• Experience working with BI tools for data visualization.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to discuss challenges and complex scenarios with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools with a clear understanding of the development lifecycle, including CI/CD processes and GitLab.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools used (like JIRA).
• Knowledge of any other programming languages like Java, Python.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS) is a plus.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter.
• Certification in ISTQB or other QA-related credentials.
• Experience with cloud-based testing environments.
