Quality Analyst

Job Overview:

As a Manual Tester, you will be responsible for executing test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring the quality and functionality of our software applications. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver comprehensive test plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Case Execution:

  Execute test cases based on requirements and design specifications. Validate functionality, performance, and reliability of applications.

• Defect Identification:

  Identify, document, and track defects in a bug-tracking system. Work with development teams to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.

• Test Planning:

  Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Ensure test coverage aligns with project requirements.

• Collaboration:

  Work closely with project teams, including developers, business analysts, and product managers, to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive testing.

• Documentation:

  Create and maintain test documentation, including test case design, execution results, and defect reports.

• Regression Testing:

  Perform regression testing to ensure that new changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.

• Feedback:

  Provide feedback on software usability, performance, and functionality to help improve the user experience.

• Continuous Improvement:

  Contribute to the development and improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience:

  2+ years of experience in manual software testing. Familiarity with various types of testing, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing.

• Skills:

• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and defect reports.
• Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts for data validation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
