QA Engineer II

As a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer at MRI Software, you will play a crucial role in assessing software quality through the design and implementation of software testing processes. Your responsibilities will include manual testing, bug hunting, issue identification, reporting, and collaboration with development teams and product managers. You will also be responsible for maintaining test documentation, creating detailed test plans, and contributing to automation testing frameworks. Key Responsibilities: - Manually test and log issues in various configurations on different databases and platforms. - Diagnose minor to complex software issues and re-create defects for investigation. - Maintain a defect-tracking database and provide status updates to relevant stakeholders. - Create detailed test plans, test scripts, and procedural documents from functional specs. - Contribute to Automation Testing Framework by creating and maintaining automation scripts. - Increase test coverage through Web Services and automated UI testing. - Demonstrate a strong interest and passion for software testing. - Solid understanding of quality processes, controls, procedures, and the SDLC. - Collaborate with Product teams to design performance tests. Qualifications Required: - 4+ years of software testing and development experience. - Experience with API testing, Cucumber, Selenium WebDriver. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Flexible and able to adapt to rapid changes. - Previous background with Financial and/or Property systems is desirable. - Experience with agile development practices is preferred. - BE/MCA Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related area.
