Job Description

Python Developer

Head of Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain
machine vision software
using
Python
.
Commission, test, and troubleshoot
Vision Systems
to meet operational standards.
Collaborate with engineering teams for system integration and optimization.
Deploy and scale pilot projects across diverse cranes, control systems, and terminal setups.
Provide on-site commissioning, support, and training for clients.
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and feedback for continuous improvement.

Work with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, control, and automation engineers) for smooth project delivery.

Required Skills and Experience:

Minimum 2 years
of experience in
software development
, with strong expertise in
Python
.
Experience in
computer vision
,
AI/ML
, or
industrial automation projects
preferred.
Ability to lead on-site commissioning and system testing independently.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in real-world industrial environments.
Willingness to
travel internationally
for project commissioning and support.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills for global collaboration.

Desirable Skills (Added Advantage):

Familiarity with
Container Port Industry Operations
and
Crane Automation Systems
.
Experience with
OpenCV
,
TensorFlow
, or
PyTorch
frameworks.
Knowledge of
Docker
,
Git
, and
industrial communication protocols
(Modbus, OPC-UA).
Exposure to
robotics

industrial cameras

sensor integration
projects.

Training & Induction:

Extensive
training and familiarisation
will be provided at company
Perth Development Centre
with the core engineering team.
Exposure to advanced vision software, industrial camera systems, and automation technologies.
