Purchasing Executive

Job Title:

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year experience in Purchase Department.

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or equivalent is a plus

• Preference will be given to candidates from the field of Sheet Metal Fabrication.

Role Tasks:

• Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers.

• Negotiate terms, conditions, and contracts to secure the best value.

• Develop evaluation criteria to assess suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery speed.

• Verify purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in specifications and quantities.

• Monitor inventory levels, ensuring timely reordering of supplies.

• Coordinate with other departments to ascertain purchasing needs.

• Track orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues such as late deliveries or quality concerns.

• Maintain accurate records of purchases, prices, and inventory levels.

• Analyze market trends to inform purchasing strategies.

• Recommend changes to procurement practices based on market insights.

• Oversee the procurement budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

• Review and clear outstanding balances with creditors, ensuring timely payments.

• Monitor daily inventory levels, placing orders as needed to avoid stockouts.

• Ensure seamless procurement operations, from indent processing to payment.

• Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.

• Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities and performance.

• Ability to map vendor costing to determine gross/net margins.
