Position Overview: As a Production Planning & Quality Intern at Futuristic Labs, you will play a crucial role in transforming innovative concepts into reality. Your responsibilities will include overseeing production workflows, ensuring quality standards, and managing inventory processes for the electromechanical product line. Key Responsibilities: 1. Production Planning & Control: - Supervise daily production activities, such as manufacturing, embedded systems, wiring harness assembly, packaging, and end-of-line testing. - Allocate tasks to team members and monitor progress to ensure timely completion. - Interpret engineering and assembly drawings to guide production processes and maintain high-quality standards. - Optimize production workflows and manpower allocation for efficiency and output goals. - Maintain accurate production documentation, including reports, quality files, GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), invoices, and billing records. 2. Quality Assurance: - Conduct inward and in-process quality checks to ensure components and assemblies meet design and performance specifications. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective measures. - Uphold stringent quality assurance practices for electro-mechanical assembly and manufacturing. 3. Inventory & Stores Management: - Implement effective inventory management practices, including stock tracking, material issuing, and inventory updates. - Ensure well-maintained inventory for product development and bought-out items to meet project timelines. - Organize and oversee stores maintenance to support seamless production activities. 4. Vendor Coordination & Logistics: - Coordinate with vendors for timely material delivery and manage logistics for incoming shipments. - Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality and reliability. 5. Process Improvement & Collaboration: - Identify process improvement opportunities and collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to implement changes. - Utilize basic ERP systems and tools for enhanced resource planning and streamlined workflows. Requirements: Education & Experience: - Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. - 1 year of experience in assembly or manufacturing, preferably in electro-mechanical production environments. Skills: - Proficiency in interpreting engineering and assembly drawings. - Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools for efficient documentation and planning. - Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities. - Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and efficiency.
