Problem Manager - MS

VTOM : Requirements: VTOM administration experience as Level 3 level for complex infrastructure and environment. Ability to schedule jobs, monitor and correct the issues related to backups, applications, file transfers, etc. Handled Priority 1 and critical issues related to VTOM. Extensive hands-on experience in VTOM installation, configuration, and administration skills. Extensive hands-on experience with VTOM batch development skills installing, upgrading, configuring, maintaining, and controlling the Information Assurance (IA) posture of VTOM infrastructure. Must analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing job flows and schedules systems. Setup and maintain high availability of the VTOM environment of a large infrastructure environment. Ability to maintain, upgrade and patch the VTOM environment and suggest recommendation for value addition. Document technical solutions and build SOPs for the monitoring team. Knowledge on Linux, Unix and Windows environment is mandatory. Should have Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; helps contribute to timely completion of project deliverables well short of schedule. Rich exposure in automation programming through UNIX shell scripting, Python or any other scripting language is added advantage. Analytical skill to understand user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing job flows and schedules systems. Knowledge on ITIL and Certification preferred. Knowledge on ServiceNow ITSM tool Basic understanding of scripting and batch knowledge Very good understanding of ITIL V3 Fundamentals Nice to have: Knowledge experience working with different automation tooling within IT Operations Flexible to work in 24x7 shifts which also includes Night and Weekend-shifts. Open to take-up additional responsibilities as and when need. Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with client to fully understand the scope and requirements of the project. Perform manual updates and modifications to the VTOM jobs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to the project's specifications. Conduct testing and validation of the migrated VTOM jobs to ensure their functionality and reliability. Collaborate with the project team to identify and address any issues encountered during the process. Provide expert guidance and support, sharing best practices for effective batch job management within the VTOM environment. Document the entire process, including updates made and challenges encountered, to facilitate future knowledge transfer.
