We offer the deepest pool of expertise across marine and engineering disciplines in more than 300 locations globally.Working as a core member of our engineering team in Mumbai, where you will lead the delivery of complex offshore engineering projects and provide technical oversight across marine warranty scopes. In this senior role, you will be responsible for planning and executing naval architectural work and supervising design analysis for fixed and floating offshore structures.
What will you be doing?
- Plan and execute naval architectural scopes, including deliverables, schedules, and resource planning.
- Perform and review design calculations and analysis for fixed and floating offshore structures.
- Attend offshore operations and onshore activities such as loadouts and sail-aways.
- Support Marine Warranty Survey activities - training will be provided if needed.
- Lead engineering teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high quality and HSE standards.
- Conduct QA/QC on survey reports, design documents, and calculations.
- Participate in design reviews, audits, and client meetings.
- Prepare cost-time-resource (CTR) estimates for RFQs and supporting bid proposals.
- Manage project teams and potentially transitioning into a Project Manager role.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers.
- Collaborate with other areas of ABL Group on design projects, where applicable.
- Other duties as assigned.
What are we looking for?
Ideally, You Will Be An Experienced Naval Architect Who Has Experience Of Working On The Design Or Verification Of Fixed Or Floating Structures For The Offshore Oil & Gas. More Specifically, We Are Looking For The Following
- Educated to degree level in Naval Architecture or equivalent (A Master’s in Naval Architecture/Ocean Engineering is desirable).
- Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in offshore fixed and mobile structures.
- Strong understanding of classification society requirements and industry codes.
- Experience in transportation analysis and marine operations such as loadout, sea fastening, sail-aways, and installation.
- Familiarity with software such as SACS, MOSES and OrcaFlex. Knowledge of ANSYS and STAAD PRO is beneficial.

This position will be based at our office in Mumbai.
You must have the right to legally live and work in India.
The job holder will be expected to undertake onshore and offshore assignments. You might need to spend an extended period on deployments.
