Job Description

The Digital Application Development Lead will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining University Digital applications, focusing on in-house portals, internal websites, CRM, LMS platform, Data Analytics, Data Warehouse, and Mobile App. Your role will require strong expertise in PHP and related web and mobile technologies, along with solution architecture and leadership skills to lead a team of developers and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders. You will drive innovative solutions to enhance academic and administrative systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and user satisfaction. Hands-on experience is crucial to guide strategic initiatives and capabilities in digital development to support the university's digital ambitions. You must possess strong database management and application design capabilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities are essential for this role. Your key responsibilities will include leading the development and customization of CRM, ERP, and LMS applications using PHP and other relevant technologies. Ensuring all applications are robust, secure, and optimized for performance. Integrating various systems to guarantee seamless data flow and user experience. You will be responsible for building, managing, mentoring, and guiding a team of application developers. Assigning tasks, setting deadlines, and monitoring progress to ensure project delivery within scope and timelines. Conducting regular code reviews and providing feedback to maintain code quality standards. Additionally, you will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the university's websites to ensure they are user-friendly, accessible, and aligned with institutional branding. Implementing strategies to optimize website performance, security, and SEO. Collaborating with marketing and communication teams to ensure the website meets the University's goals. Your duties will also involve designing and managing databases and Data Warehouse to ensure data integrity, security, and optimal performance. Developing scalable database solutions for new and existing applications. Collaborating with stakeholders to create user-centric application designs that align with the University's needs and standards. You will collaborate with university departments to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones for IT application and website initiatives. Communicate project updates and progress to stakeholders. In case of application and website issues, you will monitor and troubleshoot to ensure minimal downtime. Implement updates and patches to maintain application and website security and functionality. Provide technical support to end-users and train staff on system functionalities. To stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in IT applications and website development, you will recommend and implement innovative solutions to improve the University's IT infrastructure and online presence. Develop and enforce best software development, deployment, website management, and documentation practices. You should have strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, proficiency in version control systems like Git, knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, and hands-off expertise to guide IT and website projects strategically. Strong application design skills are essential to ensure usability and functionality. Qualification required is MCA/ Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A minimum of 9-10 years of experience in application development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role is necessary. Proven expertise in PHP development, including frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter, hands-on experience with CRM, ERP, and LMS platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Oracle, Moodle, or similar), experience in integrating APIs and working with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar, demonstrated experience in website development and management, including familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla, and expertise in database design and management, including experience with database optimization and scalability is required.,
