Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized

Logistics/Customs Coordinator

to join our team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and play a key role in managing international shipping, documentation, and compliance. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate documentation, coordinating with carriers and forwarders, and maintaining up-to-date shipment records to support timely deliveries and compliance with international trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review international shipping documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Collect, prepare, and verify shipping documents including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
  • Distribute shipment documents to internal teams and external customers.
  • Review orders and bills of lading for completeness, including shipment data such as weight, quantities, and dimensions.
  • Communicate with logistics carriers and freight forwarders to arrange shipments and obtain bills of lading.
  • Ensure daily shipments are processed correctly, completely, and on schedule.
  • Create and maintain electronic files for all orders and shipments.
  • Track and update shipment statuses to ensure visibility for stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in shipment documentation during transit.
  • Support the Logistics Manager or Director with additional tasks and special projects as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, international trade regulations and customs processes.
  • Familiarity with international and domestic transportation requirements.
  • Experience with customs documentation and clearance procedures preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfort in navigating various application systems.
