Role & responsibilities

The Learning & Development Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing learning programs that enhance employee skills, performance, productivity, and career development. This role ensures that learning initiatives align with organizational goals, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and support talent management strategies. The incumbent will be responsible for end to end project management.

Job Role and Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement the organizations learning and development strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Conduct training needs analysis (TNA) across departments to identify skill gaps.
  • Partner with leadership and HR to design career development pathways.

Program Design & Delivery

  • Design, deliver, and evaluate learning programs (classroom, e-learning, blended).
  • Introduce innovative learning methods (e.g., digital learning, microlearning, coaching, mentoring).
  • Manage onboarding programs to ensure smooth integration of new employees.

Performance & Evaluation

  • Measure the effectiveness of learning initiatives using KPIs and ROI analysis.
  • Continuously improve training programs based on feedback and business needs.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with managers to align training with organizational objectives.
  • Build relationships with external training providers and manage vendor contracts.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Expertise in learning technologies (LMS, e-learning tools, digital platforms).
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Ability to influence and partner with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinking with hands-on execution ability.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification

Experience

  • 3-8 years of relevant learning experience.
  • Professional certifications in L&D, Training, or Coaching (CIPD, ATD, etc.) preferred.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing impactful training programs.
