Lead Silicon Design Engineer

As a Lead Silicon Design Engineer at AMD, you will be a part of the Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) architecture team based in Hyderabad. Your focus will be on design, analysis, modeling, and execution to enhance power and performance in existing and upcoming FPGA devices from AMD. **Key Responsibilities:** - Explore new circuits, methodologies, and architectures to enhance power and performance in FPGAs. - Develop designs, sensors, measurement schemes, and tests to collect power-performance data from current FPGA devices. - Create high-level models for existing or new circuit, architectural, and power management features in FPGAs. - Collaborate with FPGA architects, hardware engineers, and system engineers to introduce new architectural, performance, and power management features. **Preferred Experience:** - 3+ years overall experience with 2+ years of FPGA design engineering experience. - Proficiency in Xilinx Vivado Toolset or equivalent. - Strong understanding of Xilinx FPGA architecture or equivalent. - Knowledge and skills in RTL design (Verilog, System Verilog preferred). - Familiarity with Static Timing Analysis and related flows. - Exposure to power-performance analysis and trade-offs in FPGA design context. - Proficient in digital circuit and logic design fundamentals. - Strong knowledge of SPICE Circuit Simulation tools. - Experience in utilizing debugging tools to diagnose and resolve power-performance challenges in FPGA designs. - Ability to analyze problems and devise creative solutions in a collaborative environment. **Academic Credentials:** - Masters or PhD degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. - Outstanding Bachelor's degree candidates with a robust foundation, FPGA design skills, and project experience will also be considered.
