Job Description

Job Title: Key Account Manager Sales

Department:

Key Responsibilities:

Client & Account Management:

  • Manage all key accounts in Mumbai, Goa, and Gujarat across target sectors (Road, Cement, Steel, Mining, Ports, Dredging, Private and Govt Sector).
  • Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with strategic clients.
  • Track and oversee ongoing projects and maintain regular client interactions.

Sales & Bidding:

  • Participate in government and private tenders/auctions on GeM Portal and the private Portal
  • Prepare and submit technical and commercial bids in line with client specifications.
  • Prepare FMC( Full Maintenance Contract) costing and detailed cost analyses for tenders and proposals.
  • Submit SPAR (Special Pricing Approval Requests) for special pricing approvals to OEM when needed.

Technical & On-Site Support:

  • Conduct mine visits and recommend the optimal combination of excavators, dumpers and Caterpillar machines for their operations.
  • Assist the sales team in identifying and fulfilling requirements for dozers and off-highway trucks.
  • Order and coordinate the fitment of DGMS-compliant items as required.
  • Find the untapped area for the Caterpillar machine for new sales.
  • You will be responsible for the New /used and Rental requirement of strategic customer

Contract & Compliance Management:

  • Manage the signing and execution of rate contracts with key clients.
  • Conduct Performance Acceptance Tests (PATs) at customer sites (e.g., UTCL).

CRM & Market Intelligence:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records for both won and lost deals.
  • Record and update all project and deal-related activities in CRM.
  • Conduct regular competitor analysis and gather market intelligence to support strategic decision-making.
  • Coordinate with Marketing team when its required for the Training of customer and Operators.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Automobile) or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in capital equipment / earthmoving machinery sales.
  • Strong understanding of mining, construction, and industrial sectors.
  • Prior experience with government tenders, including GeM Portal and MOIL, is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM tools and data management.
  • Better understanding of the Finance and Funding.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
