Junior QA Engineer

As a Test Engineer at Trawex, you will be responsible for developing and executing exploratory, manual, and automated tests to ensure product quality. Your role as a QA technician plays a crucial part in the company's product development process. You will conduct tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly, meets client needs, and is cost-effective. Your main responsibility will be to monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards. **Key Responsibilities:** - Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback - Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases - Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating quality testing activities - Designing, developing, and executing manual and automation scripts using open-source tools - Identifying, recording, documenting thoroughly, and tracking bugs - Developing and applying testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs - Liaising with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements - Monitoring debugging process results - Investigating the causes of non-conforming software and training users to implement solutions - Tracking quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts - Staying up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies **Qualifications Required:** - Proven work experience or knowledge in software development - Proven work experience or knowledge in software quality assurance - Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes - Experience or knowledge in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases - Hands-on experience or knowledge with both white box and black box testing - Hands-on experience or knowledge with automated testing tools - Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting - Experience or knowledge of working in an Agile/Scrum development process - Experience or knowledge with performance and/or security testing is a plus - BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject The company, Trawex, is looking for freshers or candidates with a few months of experience in a similar role.
