Junior DBA (Database Administrator)

As a PostgreSQL Database Administrator, your role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining PostgreSQL database systems. You will be responsible for monitoring database performance, optimizing queries, indexes, and configurations to ensure efficient operation. Performing regular database backups, recovery, and ensuring high availability are crucial tasks that you will handle. Troubleshooting database issues and implementing solutions to minimize downtime are key responsibilities. Implementing security measures to protect sensitive data within PostgreSQL environments will be part of your daily routine. Additionally, conducting routine health checks, upgrades, and patching of PostgreSQL instances are essential to ensure system integrity. Collaborating with system administrators to seamlessly integrate databases with other infrastructure systems is also a key aspect of your role. Your qualifications should include proven experience as a PostgreSQL DBA and proficiency in SQL queries. A strong knowledge of PostgreSQL database architecture, replication, clustering, and security features is required. Your problem-solving skills and attention to detail will be critical in this role. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential for effective collaboration with team members.
